92 Tonne Rotor Travels on Container Ship with FLS

This weekend, Dubai-based project forwarder Fleet Line Shipping (FLS) shipped a 92-tonne Rotor onboard a container ship from Dubai to Antwerp, Belgium.

An 8-axle hydraulic trailer was used to position the rotor which measured 14.18 x 2.42x 2.2 and weighed 92 tonnes so that it could be winched out from the tight space.

The rotor was then loaded onto a 7 x 40′ flat rack bed with a gantry crane and the help of a hook beam.

“A perfect coordination between Team FLS, DPW JEA Terminal 3, the shipping line, and other stakeholders have resulted in another successful move.” Peter K. Mathew, Managing Director – Fleet Line Shipping Services.
