Altius, S.A. has successfully completed the initial stage of an intermodal transport project involving the delivery of four steam separators to a Nuclear Power Plant located in France. The first phase, which spanned two nights, involved the safe and secure transport of the equipment by road to the port of Santander. This operation required extensive coordination, given the numerous obstacles such as cables, traffic lights, bridges, and traffic signs due to the towering height of the convoy at 5.82 meters.
The four pieces of equipment were then loaded onto Roll Trailers and onto a roro ship bound for Rotterdam, marking the commencement of the second phase of the project. This phase involves the use of a fluvial barge for sailing to France and a subsequent land transport of almost 400 km to the final destination. Altius, S.A. continues to execute this intricate operation with the utmost professionalism and efficiency, ensuring the timely and secure delivery of the steam separators to their destination.
