BBC Chartering Welcomes BBC UKRAINE

BBC Chartering has welcomed the newest member to their multipurpose fleet, mv BBC UKRAINE.

“We took delivery of the F500-type multipurpose and heavy-lift vessel in Singapore recently. Being the third vessel to carry this name, BBC UKRAINE was built at Taizhou Sanfu Ship Engineering in China. At 147m in length and 22.8m wide, the BBC UKRAINE has a service speed of 15 knots and is equipped with two Liebherr cranes situated portside, each capable of lifting 250 mt at 18m outreach. Combined she can thus lift up to 500 mt.”

Owned by Briese Schiffahrt, the BBC UKRAINE is to be followed by three more sister vessels of the F500 type during 2022. BBC MANILA will join the fleet in early April, BBC SEBASTOPOL in July, and BBC KHERSON towards the end of the year.

Her first trip from Singapore took the BBC UKRAINE to Futong in Indonesia, from where her intended itinerary continues via Map Ta Phut and Laem Chabang, Thailand, Kaohsiung, Taiwan and Ensenada, Mexico to Port Everglades as well as Houston in the US where she is currently expected to call during the second half of March.

“We wish her and her crew fair winds and following seas!”
