BBC launches “BBC Euro-Gulf Express Line”

Following the extension of BBC’s westbound capacity with BBC’s Med-America Service, BBC Chartering now adds a regular “apac service” departing every fortnight from the Continent to the US-Gulf starting mid-June.

The capacity is marketed as “BBC Euro-Gulf Express Line” and offers project cargo customers most flexible transport solutions, reliable service frequency and short transit times. The capacity operates under BBC Chartering’s liner and semi-liner network for any port, any cargo (apac service) and utilizes the carrier’s fleet of 180 MPP and HL vessels, including Ro/Ro Tonnage

Svend Andersen, CEO of BBC Chartering said “We are pleased to launch this new ‘express line’ which connects Hamburg with the first US Gulf port in about 19 days. This brings customers a new level of service and significant time savings compared to existing services in the market,”.

It is against the background of existing volume contracts which offer shippers reliable and steady westbound capacity and with that excellent opportunity to consolidate cargo at the continents’ most popular project cargo hubs. Loading ports for the new ‘BBC Euro-Gulf Express Line’ are Antwerp, Bremen, and Hamburg. Discharge ports are Mobile and Houston. Additional ports can be added following BBC’s high performance inducement approach.
