BigLift Ships Cranes with Chung Yang

Recently BigLift Shipping and Chung Yang’s vessel CY Interocean I loaded two STS cranes and six RTGs in Oita, Japan.

The vessel is currently underway to Puerto Bolivar, Ecuador to discharge the cranes.

In March 2019, Dutch-owned BigLift Shipping and Korean company Chung Yang Shipping agreed to cooperate in heavy transport shipping. Their four heavy transport vessels are commercially operated by BigLift Shipping.

The companies combined two pairs of sisterships – BigLift Barentsz and BigLift Baffin and CY Interocean I and CY Interocean II.

The vessels are very similar with respect to deck space, however, the CY vessels’ depth is less, enabling BigLift and Chung Yang to handle an even wider range of port locations in respect of water depth and quay heights.
