Blue Water Shipping will be transporting CO2 to the North Sea

The HRH Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark recently visited the Port of Esbjerg to initiate the Carbon Capture and Storage process in the Northern Sea. This event was successfully organized by INEOS, and all parties involved should be commended for their great work.

Project Greensand aims to capture CO2 from the atmosphere and store it in retired oil fields. As part of the project, Blue Water provides transport and logistics expertise. They are responsible for chartering and maintaining the M.V. Aurora Storm, which transports the CO2. Additionally, they have leased advanced containers to safely store the CO2 during transport, and are in charge of loading and unloading the CO2 in Antwerpen. Blue Water’s contributions are integral to the success of the project.
