Esgian is thrilled to announce that Bolloré Logistics, now operating under CEVA Logistics, has officially integrated the Esgian Shipping Suite into their operations for both Roll-On/Roll-Off (RoRo) and Multi-Purpose Project (MPP) freight. This move underscores the growing importance of accurate CO2 emissions tracking and efficient data management in the logistics industry.
Yohan Beal, Head of Operations for Bolloré Logistics Asia Pacific, expressed his satisfaction with Esgian’s innovative software solutions. “Bolloré Logistics originally expressed some interest in the innovative solutions provided by Esgian for the calculation of CO2 emissions. After discovering the data and information available on Esgian Shipping Suite for RoRo and MPP, Bolloré Logistics decided to use it on a regular basis and there are now more than 10 members of our team worldwide who are using Esgian software. The main advantage is to have access to accurate and quality data for better decision-making and providing our clients with the best possible solutions. The software is user-friendly, and the team at Esgian has proven to be extremely agile and customer-focused,” Beal noted.
This partnership highlights the broader industry shift toward sustainable logistics solutions. With environmental regulations tightening and clients increasingly demanding greener supply chain practices, tools like Esgian’s CO2 emissions calculator are becoming indispensable.
Bolloré Logistics’ decision to adopt the Esgian Shipping Suite aligns with their commitment to innovation and excellence. This is further demonstrated in their recent Moorabool Windfarm Project in rural Victoria, Australia. Over 100 wind generators were successfully transported from China to Australia, showcasing Bolloré’s expertise in handling complex logistics. Utilizing MPP tonnage, the project required 13 voyages, each carrying approximately 50,000 freight tons of cargo—an impressive feat that demanded both precision and creativity in logistics planning.
Esgian’s software played a critical role in managing this project, providing Bolloré with the data needed to execute “out of the box” transportation solutions. The ability to access reliable and comprehensive information allows logistics providers to make informed decisions, ultimately benefiting their clients and the environment.
