Bremer Lloyd Expands to India with New Chennai Office

Bremer Lloyd has made a strategic leap into the Indian market with the grand opening of its new office in Chennai. This move represents a key milestone in the company’s global expansion plan, aiming to tap into one of the world’s most dynamic and rapidly growing markets.

Jakob Halm, Managing Director of Bremer Lloyd, shared his enthusiasm about the new venture, stating, “We are delighted to officially announce the opening of our new office in Chennai, which will become an important hub for our operations in the region. India offers unique opportunities for growth and development, and we are confident that our new office will help us to strengthen our service portfolio for our local and global clients.” Halm also hinted at future plans, noting that the Indian team will play a crucial role in implementing the company’s new digital strategy.

The decision to open an office in Chennai reflects Bremer Lloyd’s recognition of India’s burgeoning project logistics sector. Madhan Mohan, Managing Director of Bremer Lloyd India, highlighted the sector’s rapid expansion due to ongoing infrastructure projects and heightened industrial activity. “India’s project logistics sector is rapidly growing due to new infrastructure projects and increased industrial activity,” Mohan said. He also pointed out a significant trend of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) increasingly focusing on Indian suppliers as part of their Best Cost Country Sourcing (BCCS) strategies. This shift is expected to drive higher demand for logistics services both locally and globally.

The Chennai office is poised to become a central node in Bremer Lloyd’s global network, enhancing its ability to serve clients in the region more effectively. This expansion not only aligns with the company’s growth objectives but also signifies its commitment to strengthening its presence in key markets.

With the new Chennai office now operational, Bremer Lloyd is set to leverage India’s growing market potential while continuing to provide robust service to its international clientele. The move underscores the company’s strategic vision and its proactive approach to navigating the evolving landscape of global logistics and project freight.
