
CDWE (CSBC-DEME Wind Engineering) has marked a significant milestone with the successful completion of the first offshore installation campaign for the Hai Long Offshore Wind Project in Taiwan. Utilizing its state-of-the-art DP3 heavy lift vessel, Green Jade, the company executed a series of complex installations that underscore its capabilities in renewable energy infrastructure.
The operation was no small feat, with the Green Jade navigating challenging conditions to install a host of critical components. These included 111 pin piles, 37 jacket foundations, two OSS (Offshore Substation) jacket foundations, and one OSS topside. The work spans water depths of 35 to 55 meters, located 45 to 55 kilometers offshore—a logistical puzzle that demanded precision and seamless coordination.
This campaign is a cornerstone achievement for the Hai Long Offshore Wind Project, which features a total of 73 turbine locations. The installations completed by CDWE cover a substantial portion of this, paving the way for the project’s broader goal of delivering clean, renewable energy to Taiwan.
