COLI Guyana Completes First Two Logistics Projects Amid Growing Market Demand

COLI Shipping & Transport (Guyana) Inc., a subsidiary of COLI Group, has successfully executed its first two logistics projects, solidifying its position as a key player in Guyana’s evolving project cargo and heavy-lift transport sector. With the country’s booming Oil & Gas industry driving demand for specialized logistics solutions, COLI Guyana is making strategic moves to establish itself as a reliable service provider.

Terrain Crane Delivery – Collaboration with XPD Global

The company’s first project, undertaken in partnership with XPD Global and COLI Brasil, involved the transportation of a terrain crane, counterweights, and accessories from Kingston, Jamaica, to Guyana. Arriving in September, the crane, measuring 16.19 meters in length and weighing over 91 metric tons (totaling 218.107 CBM), required intricate logistics planning.

Given the crane’s size and weight, a comprehensive lift point analysis was conducted to ensure secure handling during transport and discharge. Despite a vessel delay that required rapid mobilization upon arrival, COLI Guyana efficiently coordinated with stakeholders to execute the operation seamlessly. The cargo was successfully delivered to an oil and gas service provider in the country.

Storage Tank Transport – Partnership with Romeu Mexico

Building on this success, COLI Guyana completed another logistics operation in October 2024 in collaboration with Romeu Mexico. This project involved the import of a 14-meter-long storage tank, weighing 19.5 tonnes, from Veracruz, Mexico. Given the tank’s dimensions, the transport demanded a detailed route survey and extensive coordination with engineers and logistics teams to address transportation challenges.

COLI Guyana’s proactive logistics management and expertise in pre-planning and real-time execution played a crucial role in ensuring the tank’s successful delivery.

COLI Guyana’s Growing Market Presence

Commenting on these achievements, Angelica Rodney, Branch Manager of COLI Guyana, emphasized the company’s commitment to precision and reliability.

“Successfully handling these first two projects is a proud moment for COLI Group and for me personally as well. It shows our capabilities and proves that COLI Guyana has a role to play in the region. Our commitment to precision, proactive logistics management, and problem-solving is what makes us a reliable partner for project cargo and specialized transport needs in Guyana’s evolving market.”

With Guyana’s economic expansion and its increasing demand for logistics solutions in the Oil & Gas, Mining, and Heavy Industry sectors, COLI Guyana is positioning itself as a key service provider for project cargo, heavy lift, and specialized transport solutions.
