Planning by Combi Lift’s project management in Bremen and tight monitoring by the company’s on-site team ensured discharging was completed in mid-September.

The Linde Group hired the project carrier as its exclusive logistics partner to deliver oversized and cargo to the Gazprom Amur GPP Project. Delivery could only be made during the summer months when the Amur and Zeya Rivers are ice-free.

Eight tugs and seven barges carried 79 pieces weighing a total of 61,755 tonnes from De-Kastri in Russia’s Ulchsky District of Khabarovsk Krai to Svobodny between May and September – taking 21 days to cover a distance of 2,371 kilometers.

“The winning relationship with our client, The Linde Group, ensured that the project preparation phase and later operations were very efficient. There were no damages during the entire first transport phase, which was completed one month before the last contractual delivery date. We aim for the same success with phase two, beginning on May 15, 2019,” declared Holger Krenz, Combi Lift head of Project Management Gazprom Amur GPP.
