COSCO Shipping Heavy Transport worked closely with its client, AF Offshore Decom, to safely execute the float-up and load-in of the 20,300mt Curlew FPSO. COSCO’s M.V. Xin Guang Hua was responsible for the operation. Buksér og Berging and Mammoet were also involved in this operation, as experts from different directions was required. The deployment of 748 axle lines set a new world record for the largest/heaviest SPMT operation. The 235-meter-long FPSO will now be further dismantled and recycled at AF Environmental Base Vats in Rogaland, Norway.
