DAKO Worldwide Transport GmbH and Bohnet GmbH have joint forces to deliver 2 x 142,5 tons reactors from Hamburg to the Chemical Park Leuna located in Germany.
Coming from China, DAKO received the reactors in Hamburg from under hook and shipped them by barge via the river Elbe to the port of Aken, where both were transloaded onto hydraulic trailers. The transport from Aken to Leuna (about 90km) was successfully executed within 2 transport nights.
Due to tight space conditions and height obstacles within in the jobsite, the reactors had to be re-loaded onto a configuration with lowbed to allow maneuvering and to transport up to the final place for the erection.
