Davies Turner Adds Hanover Route as German Groupage Departures Hit 12 a Week

Davies Turner has expanded its road freight network between the United Kingdom and Germany with a new trailer groupage service to Hanover, increasing capacity for shippers moving goods into Northern Germany.

The route raises the freight forwarder’s German export schedule to 12 trailer groupage departures each week. It also gives importers and exporters another gateway into one of the United Kingdom’s largest European trading markets.

The new service operates alongside Davies Turner’s established daily departures from its hubs in Coleshill and Dartford to Mönchengladbach. The company said it intends to increase the overall frequency further as demand develops.

The Hanover route is designed to improve access to customers and distribution points across Northern Germany while connecting with Davies Turner’s wider European road freight network.

For shippers, the additional destination offers more than another pin on the map. Groupage services depend on regular schedules and sufficient freight volumes to combine multiple consignments efficiently. Adding Hanover gives customers greater flexibility when selecting departure days, delivery regions and onward distribution options.

The route also provides additional capacity at a time when manufacturers, retailers and industrial suppliers continue to seek dependable connections between the United Kingdom and mainland Europe.

Cross border road freight between the United Kingdom and the European Union now requires more customs preparation than it did before Brexit. Missing or incorrect documents can hold up an entire shipment, even when the trailer itself is ready to move.

Davies Turner said customers using its German services have access to customs clearance support at both the origin and destination. Smart border clearance services are also available where required to reduce delays and keep freight moving through border controls.

The company also offers shipment tracking and traceability throughout the transport process, giving customers greater visibility over collection, departure, border processing and final delivery.

All German departures offer full ADR capability for the transport of hazardous goods. This allows Davies Turner to serve customers moving regulated cargo alongside standard industrial and commercial freight.

Hazardous goods movements require trained personnel, compliant vehicles, correct documentation and careful handling. Providing ADR capacity on every departure removes the need for customers to wait for a specialist weekly service or arrange a separate transport solution.

The combination of groupage frequency, customs support and hazardous goods capability is aimed at businesses across a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing, chemicals, automotive supply, engineering and retail.
