Davies Turner Expands Haulage Capabilities Through Alliance with Transport Equipment Services

The partnership between UK logistics provider Davies Turner and Transport Equipment Services Ltd (TES) has moved into a new phase with the introduction of two state-of-the-art Renault T-High trucks into the fleet.

This development signals a deeper operational integration between the two companies, as the new vehicles are now actively supporting Davies Turner’s domestic and European container logistics. Outfitted with the latest in telematics, security, and driver comfort features, the trucks are a clear nod to both companies’ emphasis on reliability and modern fleet standards.

For Davies Turner, one of the UK’s most prominent independent freight forwarders, securing access to high-spec vehicles through trusted partnerships has become essential. The alliance with TES helps ensure a consistent, dedicated haulage solution amid a volatile transport environment plagued by driver shortages, port congestion, and pre-booking complications.

Alan Williams, director at Davies Turner & Co Ltd, pointed out that the collaboration has been key in maintaining transport continuity. “Our alliance with TES helps us to offer merchant haulage, which is more advantageous if a client needs flexibility, variety, availability and reliability,” he said. “It enables us to book haulage in advance and guarantees that the tractor unit will be available when and where we want it.”

In a climate where even the most organized supply chains are vulnerable to unexpected setbacks, having secured access to dependable haulage is no small thing. These newly acquired units offer added assurance for customers relying on timely container movements between inland destinations and the UK’s major seaports.

Dave Burgess, director at TES, highlighted the mutual benefits of the relationship. “Davies Turner is a very important customer and an outstanding partner,” he noted. “It is really pleasing that our relationship continues to develop and grow. Both trucks are fully specified to meet Davies Turner’s operational needs and reflect the high standards to which we both work.”

According to Williams, the long-term view is what counts. “Davies Turner places great value on long-term alliances and partnerships. An alliance like that with TES helps to differentiate us from many of our peers in the freight and logistics sector.”
