deugro has been honored with the Project Forwarding Award at the British International Freight Association (BIFA) Freight Service Awards 2024. The award ceremony, held on January 16, 2025, in London, recognized deugro’s exceptional logistics solutions and commitment to excellence.

The BIFA Freight Service Awards celebrate industry professionals across nine business categories, acknowledging outstanding achievements and high standards within the freight forwarding sector. This year, deugro stood out for its comprehensive all-in-one solution that successfully delivered 106,680 FRT of cargo to a remote construction site on an island in northern Papua New Guinea.

BIFA judges praised deugro’s dedication to overcoming complex logistical challenges, highlighting the company’s commitment to seamless communication and efficiency throughout the project. “The judges were impressed by deugro’s willingness to go above and beyond to ensure the successful delivery of a demanding project,” BIFA stated.

Paul Booth, Regional Director Oceania at deugro, expressed his gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing the unique challenges faced during the project. “Encompassing the remotest construction sites, severely limited infrastructure, large volumes of diverse cargo, coordination and training of an over 1,100-person on-site workforce, the strictest HSE requirements, as well as crocodiles and snakes—this project had everything needed to make it a unique project. The prestigious award is a great honor for all those involved—not only for our local deugro teams, but also for the teams of our client and those of our partners,” said Booth.

Ben Cunnington, Country Manager UK at deugro, echoed Booth’s sentiments, emphasizing the teamwork and dedication that contributed to the project’s success. “This Project Forwarding Award is a great testament to a fantastic piece of teamwork under the most challenging conditions and to our dedicated team’s unwavering commitment to delivering seamless and efficient logistics solutions to our clients,” he said.

The recognition from BIFA underscores deugro’s position as a leader in project logistics, demonstrating its ability to navigate complex environments and provide tailored solutions that meet the highest industry standards.
