DSV Launches 1.2 Million Sq. Ft. Warehouse Near Columbus to Serve Semiconductor and Logistics Markets

Transport and logistics firm DSV has officially opened its new 1.2 million-square-foot warehouse in New Albany, Ohio, marking a strategic move to support the booming semiconductor sector in what’s now known as the Silicon Heartland.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony, held on May 7, 2025, drew a crowd that included company executives, local government representatives, clients, and project developer VanTrust Real Estate, LLC. Among those present was New Albany Mayor Sloan Spalding, who highlighted the facility’s importance not just for the region, but for the logistics industry at large. “We’re thrilled to welcome DSV to New Albany and the Silicon Heartland,” he said, calling the project a strong vote of confidence in the city’s infrastructure and growth potential.

Strategically located at 11555 Briscoe Parkway, the facility sits within the New Albany International Business Park, a fast-developing area east of Columbus. Designed to meet the evolving demands of tech-heavy industries, the LEED-certified building features modern safety, inventory, and environmental management systems tailored for high-value, sensitive cargo such as semiconductors.

The warehouse brings centralized services under one roof for clients across a range of sectors including electronics, retail, and consumer goods. The site is integrated with DSV’s wider transport network and includes electronic data interchange (EDI) capabilities, ensuring seamless supply chain visibility. With close access to major transport corridors and Rickenbacker International Airport, the site is positioned to streamline cargo movement across North America.

According to Josh Summers, Executive Vice President of DSV Contract Logistics North America, the location and technology of the facility were deliberate choices. “The capabilities and location, here in the heartland, will increase our ability to help customers in the semiconductor and consumer goods industries looking for a trusted transportation and warehousing partner,” he said.

Aside from logistics functionality, the facility reflects growing demand for greener, more secure infrastructure in the warehousing space. Advanced building management systems help reduce environmental impact while ensuring asset protection—key concerns for clients handling high-spec components.

This expansion signals DSV’s intent to stay close to emerging tech manufacturing zones, reinforcing its footprint in supply chain solutions for critical and complex industries.
