In a continued show of logistical capability under pressure, DSV – Global Transport and Logistics has once again partnered with UNICEF to move vital humanitarian supplies, this time targeting a growing mpox outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
More than 30 tonnes of critical cargo—including medical equipment, isolation units, and tents designed to expand healthcare capacity—were recently flown into the DRC, reinforcing emergency response efforts. These shipments are part of a broader collaboration between the two organizations, which has seen DSV offer pro bono air transport for various humanitarian crises in recent years.

The shipments had to be executed under strict timelines and through logistical bottlenecks often faced in remote or conflict-affected regions. That’s where DSV’s dedicated Aid & Relief Control Tower came into play—an internal team specialized in handling sensitive freight destined for unstable environments.
For the DRC, struggling with an mpox outbreak that has received limited international coverage, this was not just another shipment—it was a lifeline. And for DSV, it was another opportunity to show how logistical support can mean the difference between delay and delivery when it matters most.
