Dutch Offshore Contractors Successfully Mobilizes Three 9000-Tonne Carousels for Offshore Operations

Dutch Offshore Contractors (DOC) recently achieved a significant milestone by successfully mobilizing their three massive 9000-tonne carousels, each with a diameter of 29 meters, from their DOC Cable Solutions yard in Vlissingen. The operation involved lifting the first carousel using four heavy cranes onto Self-Propelled Modular Transporter (SPMT) trailers, with plans to load all three carousels onto a Heavy-Lift Vessel (HLV) in the coming days.

The accomplishment by DOC showcases their exceptional expertise and capabilities in handling large-scale offshore equipment. The mobilization process required meticulous planning and the utilization of specialized lifting equipment to ensure a safe and efficient operation.

With the combined strength of four heavy cranes, the DOC team skillfully lifted the first 9000-tonne carousel, navigating the complexities of its immense size and weight. The strategic placement onto SPMT trailers allowed for seamless transportation within the yard, preparing it for the next phase of the operation.

In the upcoming days, all three carousels will be carefully loaded onto a dedicated Heavy-Lift Vessel, ensuring their safe transportation to the designated offshore location. This crucial step demonstrates DOC’s commitment to providing reliable and comprehensive solutions for offshore projects, solidifying their reputation as a trusted leader in the industry.
