Euroports Mediterranean acquires operator at the Port of Seville

Euroports has acquired Carbon Puerto which has been operating in Port of Seville since 1989. The company handles a wide range of commodities including fertilisers, agribulk, and steel.

Port of Seville is the only inland maritime port in Spain. It is a multi-modal port with sea and land connections and the area offers plenty of space to develop logistics and industrial activities.

“As part of Euroports Group Strategy supported by our Shareholders (R-Logitech, FPIM, PMV) we are very pleased to be able to develop further our footprint in the Mediterranean Area with the acquisition of the Carbon Puerto terminal port operator in Seville. This acquisition will complement our position in Spain with our terminals in Tarragona, but furthermore, our network of terminals in the Mediterranean area including Marghera (Italy), Izmit (Turkey) complemented these last years with our position in Port-La Nouvelle (France). This acquisition is also supporting our expansion in freight forwarding with the development of MPL in Spain.”

Frédéric Platini, CEO Euroports Group.

“This acquisition is expanding our services in Spain. With our locations in Tarragona and Seville, we can offer our services to our existing and new customers in one of the largest regions in Spain. We are confident that Seville will create a great possibility to strengthen our position as a reliable partner in Euroports key industry sectors.”

Pablo Garcia, Managing Director at Euroports Mediterranean.
