Evergreen Line will introduce a new regional service connecting North China with Indonesia and Malaysia, starting October 31, 2025. The carrier will operate the service in collaboration with Wan Hai Lines and Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp.
Strengthening Regional Ties
The new China-Indonesia/Malaysia (CIM) Service aims to broaden Evergreen’s intra-Asia coverage, providing direct links between major Chinese export hubs and key Southeast Asian destinations. The move reflects a growing demand for more streamlined trade routes in the region as shippers look for reliability and efficiency in short-sea services.
The service will deploy five vessels, each with a capacity between 1,900 and 2,200 TEU. Evergreen will contribute ships alongside its partners to maintain a fixed 35-day rotation. The maiden voyage is scheduled to depart from Dalian on November 1, 2025, with the vessel Ever Order 094.
Port Rotation
The CIM rotation will connect Dalian, Xingang, Qingdao, and Ningbo with Surabaya, Jakarta, Singapore, Port Kelang (West Port), and Kaohsiung before returning to Dalian. This routing is designed to link key North China gateways with Indonesia’s two largest ports while adding direct access to Singapore and Malaysia’s main container terminal.
Competitiveness in the Asian Market
Evergreen’s decision to expand into this lane reflects increasing cargo flows between China and Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia’s growing import demand for industrial goods and raw materials. The fixed 35-day cycle provides predictability, a feature shippers value in a market often challenged by congestion and scheduling issues.
By adding this service, Evergreen strengthens its competitiveness against other regional carriers while offering customers broader choices in direct sailings. The CIM service reinforces the company’s presence in Asia, complementing its existing intra-Asia and global services with a dedicated loop focused on trade between North China and Southeast Asia.
