Farnborough International Airshow has been evacuated after the site was flooded after torrential rainfall.
The popular event was washed out after a “tropical” plume triggered torrential downpours throughout the UK.
A statement on the event organizer’s websie said: “Due to the heavy rain, unfortunately we have had to cancel today’s flying display and close the show early. The other reason for the evacuation was the electricity had gone out and safety issue were there.
Parts of the country were on alert for heavy rain and thunder after the Met Office announced there was a risk of gales around coasts and exposed regions.
