Fire erupts on general cargo ship

According to FleetMon, the general cargo vessel M.V. Beata was on fire off Sinop, Turkey, Black Sea, on the evening of 20 December. Salvage crews and tugs were fighting the large fire. The fire was brought under control or extinguished on 21 December, but the superstructure burnt out. According to reports, 17 crew members were on board, and 16 were rescued, of which 4 are injured, 1 seriously, 1 crew member is still missing.
