Fracht Group completed the transport of three transformers weighing a combined 260 tonnes from Germany to the United States in a single coordinated shipment flow.
The cargo moved from Germany by inland barge to the Belgian port of Zeebrugge before crossing the Atlantic to Galveston, Texas. The final leg continued by rail to the inland destination in the United States.
Each transformer weighed about 86 tonnes, placing the shipment firmly in the heavy lift and project cargo category where timing and handling precision often decide whether a move stays on schedule. Like passing a relay baton without losing momentum, each transport mode had to connect without interruption.

According to Fracht FWO Germany, the shipment was planned as one integrated operation rather than separate transport stages. That approach reduced handover risks between inland waterways, ocean freight, and rail transport.

Project cargo operators are increasingly combining inland waterways with ocean and rail solutions as utilities and infrastructure projects demand larger and heavier equipment movements across continents.
