Karl Gross recently teamed up with FLS Projects Thailand to ship oversized equipment for the food production industry from Germany to Cambodia with a unique solution.
The shipment was made up of several oversized cargo pieces.
As short transit times were needed, our colleagues organised for shipping via a container line service. Handling restraints in the port of destination for such cargo coming in on a container vessel, however, meant we needed a “creative solution” to reach the port of destination on time.”
The team together with FLS Projects Thailand shipped the breakbulk cargo on a container vessel to a Thailand main port and created a “self-made” feeder service solution to the port of destination using a breakbulk vessel. Apart from adhering to customer requirements in regards to timing, this solution brought along several other benefits especially in regards to cost-efficiency.
