Giant Quench Tower Loaded in Masan

This week, Linde Engineering claims to have loaded the world’s largest quench tower (82,6 x 13,8m) weighing 1,432 tonnes.

The loading was completed in Masan, Korea by Kuehne + Nagel with the quench tower being loaded onto Combi Lift’s mega barge Tomsk.

The quench tower then departed to Siberia, Russia, where it will be erected for the Amur GCC Project. On behalf of the Linde Group, Combi Lift will transport the quench tower and a C3 Splitter (1.021 tonnes) with the new mega barge from De-Kastri to Svobodny. The Damen Stan Pontoon 11226 RD, which is almost twice as large as the seven present Combi Lift barges, was built especially for these two transports.
