At the Mammoet terminal in Schiedam, the Netherlands, Global Cargo Care was responsible for loading and securing 2 Siemens Energy transformers for the Viking Link project.
Viking Link Interconnector is a 767 km long high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission link connecting the electricity grids of Denmark and the UK.
The Viking Link HVDC Interconnector will enable the bi-directional transmission of up to 1.4 GW of clean energy between the UK and Denmark, ensuring a reliable power supply in both countries.
