There has been a lot of companies that are looking to change the Heavy-lift or Freight industry for the better by making it more efficiently by applying the latest technologies or by changing the business model. The new network organization HeavyLift.Club is in discussions with EPC companies, Manufacturers, Oil & Gas, Energy and other companies that make use of HeavyLift Transportation, handling and or Rigging to set a industrial standard.
Why?, well there is a trend where these above mentioned companies are not able to fork out the cost of maintaining a quality program that ensures the quality of its vendors and contractors. Manpower is expensive and the processes that come with maintaining the administration for “approved vendor” program comes with a price.
HeavyLift.Club is designing a program with the companies to come up with a standard that would be acceptable for them and which will then be applied to the HeavyLift.Club members. The network organization shall do the vetting and auditing of new members themselves by means of its Assessment Program (AP) and to ensure all members fully comply with ISO-21500 for project management.
This is yet another initiative that will help companies in their own quality assessment programs and a program where vetted vendors and contractors can be found.
HeavyLift.Club is not an exclusive network but it will become a very interesting network for sure with value added programs for the shippers and cargo owners.
