Industry Movers: Future Proof Shipping Expands its Team in Rotterdam

Future Proof Shipping (FPS), the zero-emissions sustainable shipping company is growing its technical team with the addition of Mr. Milinko Godjevac who today joins FPS as Senior Integration Advisor.

FPS has spent the last number of years enabling the maritime value chain to accomplish zero-emissions shipping by building sustainable ships and helping others to build their own vessels.

In his new role, Godjevac will focus on all technical aspects related to the system integration of battery and hydrogen propulsion components and advise external parties on how to achieve true zero-emissions shipping.

Godjevac joins Future Proof Shipping from Allseas Engineering B.V. where as Senior R&D Engineer he worked on reducing emissions and increasing the efficiency of their pipe-laying vessels as well as ensuring the safety and stability of their heavy lift operations.

He has an extensive research and technical background in the maritime industry having completed his MSc. Naval Architecture studies in Belgrade University before undertaking a PhD in Marine Engineering with Delft University of Technology from 2004-2006. Morerecently, Godjevac has been teaching the next generation of maritime professionals subjects like Dynamic Positioning and Reliability Engineering as Assistant Professor at TU Delft.

What excites me about working at FPS is that it is a young company with a team of experts who are committed to making zero-emissions shipping possible. In my previous positions, in academia and industry, I worked on improving the efficiency of ships so achieving hydrogen propulsion is a natural next step and a true ambition of mine.”

The team at FPS now includes Prasanna Colluru (Director Corporate Strategy), Fokke van der Veen (Director Operations), Marjon Castelijns (Business Development Manager), Gust Biesbroeck (Financial Advisor), Milinko Godjevac (Senior Integration Advisor), with CEO Richard Klatten at the helm and navigating the team to accomplish their company vision of a zero-emissions shipping world by 2040.

First, they are going to retrofit inland ships that are currently powered by diesel engines into zero-emissions ships powered by hydrogen and/or batteries. They aim to have ten zero-emissions ships operating  within the next five years.
