Alongside yesterday’s announcement that SAL and Intermarine have launched a joint venture, the press was also informed that Svend Andersen has become the new CEO of Intermarine.
Mr. Svend Andersen, joins the management team as CEO and shareholder from BBC Chartering where he was also CEO. He has four decades in the breakbulk and multi-purpose sector and was part of Intermarine in the early days of his career. Svend is now back on board and brings his strategic insight and commercial experience to the table and develop the Intermarine business moving forward along with Richard Seeg as President and Mr. Chad Call as Vice President and CFO
Svend Andersen, Intermarine CEO, states: “The joining of Intermarine with the SAL organization is a perfect matching of two companies which share the same basic set of values and business philosophy yet with a different fleet of vessels, resources and outreach. For over 30 years, Intermarine has provided breakbulk liner services between North America and South America and in the Caribbean, in combination with a strong intra-South America trading network.
