Joint Venture: Hansa Meyer ROLI Projects LLC.

Two established project logistics players, Hansa Meyer and Rohde & Liesenfeld, have started a new JV company to serve the North American project logistics market and their related project owners, EPC companies and suppliers.

Hansa Meyer Global Transport has had a legal entity in the USA since 2010 but sold their shares in its operational and asset- based companies in 2021.

Hansa Meyer Global’s agent partner, Rohde & Liesenfeld (USA) Inc. and Rohde & Liesenfeld Canada Inc. are already successfully serving the project logistics market in North America for more than 20 years.

Previously, Rohde & Liesenfeld worked as agent for the Hansa Meyer Global network outside
the USA and also executed a number of US based industrial projects for the group. The owners of both companies worked together 20 years ago for the R&L group.

“We feel thrilled about our strategy to combine our groups knowhow, capacity and contacts and to set up a brand-new company in Houston TX, the heart of the US industrial project market and to combine our forces” said Jan-Dirk Schuisdziara, Managing Shareholder at Hansa Meyer Global.

The JV business development in the USA will be steered by Mrs Julie Shafer, who has over 25 years of solid global project logistics leadership experience and who also had various project Management functions in GE Transport, Geodis and R&L.

Jan Beringer (CEO, Shareholder ROLI Projects) said “We are pleased now to be part of this JV with the Hansa Meyer Group and our joint success story in North America. Both companies are well known for unique, reliable, and creative project work. We have the same mindset, teams fit together very well and will be only stronger together”.

Jan-Dirk Schuisdziara (Managing Shareholder, HMG Group) said ”R&L has probably one of the best, most experienced and highly motivated expert project logistics teams in the US market, as they have again underlined with their recent handling of the logistics for the “USD 10 billion James Webb Telescope” transport for NASA’s mission to French Guyana – we are proud to have them on our side to serve our demanding clients in the US market.”
