The Jumbo Javelin, (pictured here waiting in Singapore) has transported the first of two LNG Absorbers weighing 1,535 tonnes for client Chiyoda Corporation.
“From an early stage, our technical teams were involved in the planning and engineering process including saddle sizing and positioning and lifting choices for two LNG Absorbers.”
The absorbers are destined for the North Field East (NFE) Project.
CTJV is the joint venture between Chiyoda Corporation (“Chiyoda”) and Technip Energies that has been awarded on February 2021 a major EPCC contract – (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning) by QatarEnergy for the onshore facilities of the North Field East Project (“NFE”). This contract covers the delivery of 4 mega trains, each with a capacity of 8 million tonnes per annum (“Mtpa”) of Liquefied Natural Gas (“LNG”), and associated utility and offsite facilities.
You can also spot Jumbo Javelin’s sister J-Class vessel MV Fairpartner at anchor in the background.
This project was carried out by the Jumbo-SAL-Alliance.
