K Line has held the naming ceremony of their latest newbuilding CENTURY HIGHWAY GREEN, an LNG fueled car carrier.
The launch of this car carrier is in line with K Line’s Environmental Vision 2050 – Securing Blue Seas for the Future. The new vessel utilises a variety of environmental measures and digital technologies to improve safety, environmental, and quality aspects.
“With the requirement of decarbonization rapidly growing, there is also an increase of expectation for the business field of carbon-neutral shipping, such as Renewable Energy projects related to the LNG value chain and Carbon Emission Trading. “K” Line will establish the “Carbon Neutral Promotion Group” and facilitate business development for net-zero CO2 emission along with related parties and companies of the “K” Line Group.”
