Kai von Taube will assume the role of Managing Director, ZEAMARINE effective Q4 2018. He will take over the operative business from Ulrich Ulrichs’ areas of responsibility that include the management of the Company’s liner and tramp services. Ulrich Ulrichs will leave the Company amiably on his own accord at the end of December 2018 to pursue other opportunities. 
“After steering Rickmers Line through turbulent waters for seven years, I have decided that it is time for a change and a break before I seek new challenges. With ZEABORN’s Managing Partners and my colleagues at ZEAMARINE, I have agreed to continue putting all my skills, my expertise and my knowledge at the disposal of the company until I leave to ensure a smooth transition. I will systematically hand over all of my other current tasks and responsibilities, step by step, to my successor. Until that time, I will continue to act as the managing director of Rickmers-Line GmbH & Co. KG in Hamburg”, explained Ulrich Ulrichs.
At the turn of the year, Kai von Taube will assume full profit responsibility for ZEAMARINE Carrier, together with Frank Fischer and Nicki Schumacher. With more than 15 years of international experience in the MPP segment, Kai von Taube is well equipped for his new role. Following the completion of his vocational training as a shipping agent at a liner service company, Kai von Taube worked in a variety of international locations with a focus on Asia, holding executive positions: for example, as Line-Manager Asia-USA and General Manager Line-Management. He currently holds the positions of Director Line-Management and holder of commercial power of attorney. In these positions, Kai von Taube manages all shipping areas for the line and tramp services, including pricing, routing, space allocations, and budget responsibility. From the beginning of next year, his portfolio will also include full profit responsibility.
