Mammoet took part in a challenging operation involving wind turbine equipment near the South Texas coast. The company’s teams worked tirelessly around the clock to identify “wind windows” – periods when weather conditions permit safe lifting – to carry out the project.
One of the highlights of the operation was the successful replacement of the main bearing and removal of the rotor, which was accomplished during one of these wind windows. Mammoet utilized its state-of-the-art equipment, including the Manitowoc 16000 and 100T Tadano GR1000XL, to complete the job with precision and efficiency.
