The Mammoet team in Norway performed loaded 3 turret mooring systems that would later be installed on a large FPSO (floating production storage and offloading )vessel. What is a turret mooring system? It is a cylindrical single-point mooring system geo-stationary with the seabed allowing rotation of the FPSO vessel in response to wave and wind conditions.
With the help of SPMTs (Self-propelled modular transporters), Mammoet transported each section (2000- 3000t) to their set-down area in the yard.
