Mammoet Moves Wind Blades with ACCIONA

Video: Watch how Mammoet’s team in Chile worked with ACCIONA to complete the transport of these 66 m (217 ft.) WTG blades. The blades were transported a total of 280 km (174 miles).

In this video, you can see some images of the trip made by blades, nacelles and hubs from the Chilean harbor of Lirquen to the San Gabriel wind farm, in the Comuna of Renaico (La Araucanía).

A challenging journey of more than 300 kilometers by road to transport the 183 blades, the 61 nacelles and the 61 hubs that will make up the new ACCIONA’s wind farm in Chile, which is planned to enter service by 2020. It will then generate emission-free electricity equivalent to the consumption of over 270,000 Chilean homes.
