MPS and Hülskens Wasserbau join forces and install a pipeline

MPS and Hülskens Wasserbau, mobilized a modular Dipper pontoon to Essen, Germany to facilitate the installation of a submerged pipeline that crosses the river. This innovative pipeline design allows for uninterrupted water traffic as it is fully submerged and installed beneath the river bed.

The installation process involves using the Dipper pontoon to dredge a trench in the river bed. Once the trench is complete, heavy cranes are used to install the ducker-pipe. The Dipper pontoon is then utilized to backfill the trench and cover the pipeline upon successful installation.
