In a strategic move to modernize trucking operations at Egypt’s West Port Said Port, Nafith International has entered into a joint venture with Egytrans as part of a 25-year public-private partnership (PPP) with the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE). This initiative is set to introduce advanced digital and automation solutions aimed at optimizing truck flows and logistics efficiency at one of the country’s most crucial maritime gateways.

The joint venture, Nafith Egypt, will spearhead the development of a state-of-the-art Truck Marshaling Yard (TMY) and implement high-tech logistics platforms to enhance truck movements within the port. By leveraging IoT, Deep Learning, and AI-driven logistics solutions, the partnership aims to minimize congestion, improve supply chain visibility, and reduce carbon emissions associated with inefficient truck operations.
Nafith International’s expertise in logistics automation spans across the Middle East, with successful implementations in Jordan, Iraq, and Oman, where the company handles over 12,000 truck trips daily and manages more than 7 million logistics transactions annually. By extending its operations to West Port Said, the company seeks to bring the same level of efficiency and sustainability to Egypt’s transport infrastructure.
The project will integrate key technologies, including NFLOW, NCheck, Lite TOS, Truck iGates, Truck iPortals, and Train iPortals, ensuring real-time monitoring and coordination of truck movements. These tools are designed to enhance the port’s capacity to handle rising cargo volumes while streamlining entry and exit processes.
The SCZONE partnership marks a significant step toward Egypt’s broader goal of positioning itself as a leading logistics hub. With increasing trade flows through the Suez Canal, optimizing port logistics is critical to maintaining competitiveness and ensuring smooth cargo movement. The collaboration with Egytrans, a well-established player in Egyptian logistics, further strengthens the project’s potential for success.
Nafith International expressed confidence in the venture, highlighting its commitment to digital transformation in port logistics. The company emphasized that its data-driven approach will not only enhance operational efficiency but also support environmental sustainability goals by reducing idle truck time and fuel consumption.
As the project moves forward, industry stakeholders will be closely watching how Nafith Egypt’s implementation shapes the future of trucking at West Port Said Port. The initiative is expected to set new standards for port efficiency, digitalization, and sustainability in the region.
