Navitrans Acquires BDK Informatic AG, Targets Logistics Expansion in DACH Region

Belgium-based logistics software provider Navitrans International has announced the acquisition of Swiss firm BDK Informatic AG, in a move set to bolster its footprint across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

The acquisition, finalized on March 25, 2025, brings together two established players in the logistics tech sector. Backed by private equity firm Firmament Group, Navitrans is reinforcing its expansion strategy with the addition of BDK’s advanced capabilities in last-mile delivery, transport management, and route optimization.

Headquartered in Kreuzlingen, BDK has built a reputation for delivering smart software solutions that address operational challenges in the logistics industry. Its emphasis on real-time delivery tracking and transparency has attracted logistics providers aiming to fine-tune their service efficiency and customer communication.

With this acquisition, Navitrans gains not only technology but also a seasoned team rooted in the DACH region. This local presence is expected to accelerate the deployment and support of Navitrans solutions, aligning with its goal of providing localized, high-quality service.

“The acquisition of BDK Informatic AG reflects our commitment to sustained growth and operational excellence,” said Bart Beeckmans, Director of the Board and CEO of both companies. “This partnership brings together two competent organizations with shared values and a common vision for the future.”

Operations at BDK will continue from Kreuzlingen, with the existing team remaining in place. Their role will be instrumental in supporting current clients while also integrating and distributing Navitrans offerings across the DACH market. The merger is structured to ensure minimal disruption, focusing on continuity and client retention.

Combining their strengths, Navitrans and BDK now offer a broader suite of end-to-end logistics software tools—from warehouse optimization and transport management to last-mile delivery solutions. Built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Navitrans’ systems are used globally, but this move reflects a tighter focus on regional growth.
