
Østensjø Rederi, a leading offshore maritime service provider, has secured multiple new contracts for its offshore fleet, further strengthening its market position. The contracted vessels include Subsea Vessels Edda Flora and Edda Fauna, Construction Vessel Edda Freya, Flotels Edda Fides and Edda Fortis, and PSV Edda Frende. The total value of these contracts is approximately NOK 3 billion, representing a major milestone for the company.
In collaboration with DeepOcean, Østensjø Rederi has extended the contracts for Edda Freya and Edda Flora through 2026 and for Edda Fauna through 2027. This extension reaffirms the reliability and quality of Østensjø Rederi’s fleet and highlights its commitment to long-term partnerships. CEO Kristian Helland Vea expressed satisfaction with the renewed agreements, emphasizing the strong collaboration with DeepOcean and the shared commitment to delivering exceptional maritime services.
The contract extensions will commence immediately following the current agreements, ensuring seamless operations. According to Vea, Østensjø Rederi is looking forward to continuing its successful partnership with DeepOcean and achieving key project milestones.
The offshore flotel Edda Fides has also secured a six-month contract extension with its current charterer, with additional options available. The vessel will continue providing accommodation and support services for operations offshore Angola. Additionally, the offshore flotel Edda Fortis will begin a four-month firm contract this spring for an international client in the Mediterranean Sea, offering high-quality accommodation and support services.
PSV Edda Frende is set to commence a one-year firm contract with Shell UK in the first quarter of 2025. The vessel will perform supply duties in the North Sea on the UK continental shelf, with options for further extensions.
