PCB Exhibition – Houston

Industry experts will share insight into how breakbulk and project cargo shippers can build resilient supply chains at the inaugural Project Cargo and Breakbulk exhibition (PCB) event taking place at the GRB Convention Center in Houston, Texas, USA 6th and 7th of April, 2022.

Owned by event organiser Comexposium, the free-to-attend event, PCB will include a two-day conference and more than 50 exhibitors from the US, Canada, Brazil, and Europe.

PCB brings together the entire breakbulk supply chain, including energy, procurement and construction (EPC), manufacturers, project freight forwarders, shipping lines, road hauliers, ports, and support service companies.

The event will be opened in the morning of April 6th by keynote speaker Geir-Eilif Kalhagen, Director of Maritime Division, Texas Department of Transportation, who will share his thoughts on integrating resilient supply chains and sustainable transportation networks.

The conference is focused on building resilient, sustainable supply chains and panels will cover topics including a look at how stakeholders in the supply chain can work more closely together to face challenges and avoid bottlenecks as demand grows in the renewables sector.

Other panels will cover the challenges of moving dimensional cargo on the US railroad; how to support the next generation of logistics leaders; and navigating transportation challenges in a post-COVID environment.

Global shipping line and PCB exhibitor BBC Chartering will take part in a fireside chat with conference organiser Emma Murray of Meantime Communications, while multipurpose carrier AAL will lead a panel discussion on the development of new vessels capable of meeting changing demands.

“The last two years have shown how pandemics, skills shortages, port congestion, extreme weather events and conflict cause significant disruption to those involved in the transportation of heavy, and out-of-gauge cargoes,” said Alli McEntyre Gaharan, Head of Marketing and Communication for PCB Future Projects.

“Houston, a global energy hub, is the ideal location to host PCB and we look forward to welcoming our exhibitors and visitors.”

Exhibitors include BBC Chartering, Thorco Projects, Spliethoff/ BigLift Shipping, UAL America, Chipolbrok, MSC, Port of Beaumont, Port of Lake Charles, Gulf Stream Marine, Pentagon Freight Services, HLI Rail, Rhenus Logistics, Bellemare and Fox Brasil.
