Peters & May and Hugo Stinnes Schiffahrt Extend Partnership for Yacht Transport

Peters & May is pleased to announce the extension of its thriving partnership with Hugo Stinnes Schiffahrt GmbH, now part of the MACS Maritime Carrier Shipping group, renowned for its Atlantic Liner Services and global tramp operations. Initially established in 2017, the collaboration is set to continue through the end of Q1/2025.

This alliance, which has already made waves in the maritime industry, was launched to meet the growing demand for yacht transportation between Europe and the Caribbean. With the first year already proving highly successful, it’s no surprise that both parties are eager to carry the momentum forward. The service, featuring two key sailings in Q1 and Q2 2024, from Northern Europe to the Caribbean, was met with substantial demand, and the return sailings to Northern Europe ensured the route remained accessible year-round.

The service will continue to offer essential monthly sailings, particularly crucial during the peak yachting season from November to May. This extension allows both companies to provide uninterrupted, reliable transport, meeting the needs of yacht owners and professionals alike.

Key port stops in the ongoing service include Antwerp, Bremen, Southampton, Antigua, Fort Lauderdale, and Newport, facilitating seamless transatlantic journeys for yachts of all sizes. According to Kyle Morant, Shipbroking Manager at Peters & May, the company values the strong partnership, emphasizing, “Quality assurance is always a priority at Peters & May and we take great pride in cooperating with reliable partners with the same approach to shipping.” He highlights that the flexible capabilities of Hugo Stinnes’ liner service, with yacht lifting capacities of up to 300 tons, are critical to their shipping strategy.

Steffen Wiegratz, Line Manager of the Stinnes Transatlantic Service, echoed the enthusiasm, stating, “We are very pleased to see this cooperation continue. Based on the experiences made together – not just between Europe and the Caribbean, but also involving the whole MACS group with their Atlantic liner services – it was a logical step to proceed with this successful business model.”

The collaboration is already proving to be a significant force in the yacht transportation industry, offering secure, efficient, and client-focused services. As this partnership grows, both Peters & May and Hugo Stinnes Schiffahrt remain dedicated to delivering dependable shipping solutions that simplify the often complex logistics of transatlantic yacht transport.
