Saipem will be involved in the North Field Production Sustainability Offshore Compression Complexes project, located offshore the northeast of Qatar. The contract awarded to Saipem by Qatargas is worth around USD 4.5 billion.
The scope of work includes the engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation of two offshore natural gas compression complexes to sustain North Field production, including two of the largest fixed steel jacket compression platforms ever built, flare platforms, connecting bridges, living quarters, and interface modules. It follows the award of an offshore natural gas production and transportation contract for the same field in early 2021 and is a testament to the continuity and quality of Saipem’s performance in Qatar.
