Remazel Engineering Delivers Advanced Installation Tools for Bokalift 2

Remazel Engineering has achieved a significant milestone by delivering a complete set of advanced lifting, anode cage installation, and platform installation tools to Boskalis. These tools are integral to the crane vessel Bokalift 2, which recently installed XXL monopiles for an offshore wind farm on the East Coast of the United States.

The lifting tool is a standout, boasting an impressive capacity of over 2,000 tons, tailored for the massive diameters of XXL monopiles. Remazel’s innovative approach extended to the testing phase, where they developed an in-house test bench capable of load testing up to 3,000 tons. This rigorous testing phase was crucial to ensure the tool’s reliability and performance under extreme conditions.

Further showcasing their engineering prowess, Remazel designed this lifting tool to meet the most challenging technical demands of the offshore wind industry. With an adaptable diameter range from 7 to 9 meters, the tool features a groundbreaking lifting capacity of 3,000 tons. During testing, the tool was subjected to an exceptional load of 3,600 tons, setting a new benchmark in the sector.

This project has not only strengthened Remazel’s capabilities in engineering and project execution but also underscores their commitment to advancing offshore wind technology. The successful delivery and testing of these tools demonstrate Remazel’s dedication to innovation and excellence in the industry.
