Logistics Plus Inc. (America) and Rhenus Project Logistics (Germany) announced that they have joined forces for the modernization of two lignite-fired coal power plants in Turkey.
The project scope is approximately 40,000 cbm and includes 5 stators, each 200 metric-tons; 5 rotors, each 55 metric-tons; and hundreds of full truckloads, flatbeds, containers, and lowbeds from all around the world shipping to Turkey.
“We turned our friendship into a partnership,” said Rhenus Project Logistics America President Colin D’Abreo. “We’ve been friends and working with LP on different projects out of Spain, Japan, and other countries for decades. We realize that the world of project logistics is changing rapidly and that our organizations need to focus on building new strategies and new partnerships that will enable them to create value in the future.”
Logistics Plus Global Projects Director Bahadir Erdil said both companies are family owned and financially strong. “As partners, we seek to fully utilize our potential arising from RPL’s market in Europe and from LP’s market in Turkey and Middle East projects,” added Erdil.
A statement from the companies said the objective of the partnership is to improve the worldwide services of both companies by combining global resources.
