Rickmers Line and Sinotrans sign new agreement

The Project Logistic Division of Sinotrans and Rickmers-Line have entered into a six-year-contract for the ocean transportation of breakbulk and project cargoes for a major infrastructure project from China to the United States.

Rickmers-Line will provide full service to Sinotrans with its regular fortnightly Pearl String Round-The-World liner service to various destinations in the US.

The contract will enable both parties to better streamline their activities and to benefit from regularly provided shipping space and long-term cargo forecasts. “This is the first time, Rickmers-Line is entering into such a long-term commitment with a big forwarding company in China.

We are very happy and excited to commence this co-operation with Sinotrans and are extremely delighted about the opportunity and trust that the team of Sinotrans is putting in us.” the members of the Rickmers-Line delegation expressed after the official signing ceremony at the Sinotrans office in Beijing.
