Roll Group Moves 6,500 t for Seagreen Wind Farm in UAE

Roll Group Middle East has successfully performed the loadout of various items for the JF2001 – Seagreen Wind Farm Project for its client Eversendai Offshore RMC FZE in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.

After completion of the jacket fabrication, Roll Group performed a calibrated weighing of the jacket structure on a total of 19 weighing points.

With the hard work of all teams involved, Roll Group used a total of 238 Axle lines SPMTs and 11 power packs to perform the loadout via the vessel stern. Roll Group moved the jacket structure over the earlier loaded piles and set down the jacket within tolerance.

Manager Special Projects – Roel Wesel comments: “This project signifies the steady growth of Roll Group with its land activities. Over the past two years, Roll Group Middle East and Asia have seen a continuous increase of its capabilities by performing ever larger and heavier moves. The new milestone of 6,500 Tonne puts Roll Group firmly on the map as a land-based heavy lifting and heavy transport provider. With its combination of heavy transport vessels and land-based heavy lifting and transport equipment, Roll Group is able to provide complete in-house scopes from factory to foundation.”
