Since 1980 SAL has grown from being a heavy lift company, into a multi-brand corporation that still operates three separate entities: SAL Heavy Lift, SAL Engineering, and the newest member SAL Renewables.
To distinguish between the three brands, SAL have revealed a new set of logos designed to create an identity for each of the brands via colour and lettering. All whilst still clearly showing that each of the brands belongs to one another.
“SAL has been fully dedicated to heavy lift shipping for more than 40 years. Back in 1980, when SAL was founded as a family business with four vessels, located on farmland outside Hamburg, the idea of a unique, but strong and recognizable logo was born. The artistic rendering of the Hogendiekbrücke (Hogendiek bridge), a symbol to the origination of SAL in the Altes Land region outside Hamburg, has undergone several transitions over the past decades, but has always remained as symbol, and will also continue to do so.”
