Sustainability Score Further Improved: Another Gold Rating for G2 Ocean

G2 Ocean announced that the company has been awarded the gold medal status for its sustainable business practices from the environment, social and governance (ESG) rating organisation, EcoVadis.

EcoVadis assess sustainability policies, procedures, actions and measuring systems of more than 90,000 companies in 200 industries worldwide and provide a score from 1 – 100, based on their performance.

G2 Ocean has received a score of 73 of 100 – up 2 points from 2021. Only five per cent of the companies evaluated by EcoVadis met the qualifications for a Gold Rating and the score places G2 Ocean in the top 3% of all companies assessed.

“We are very pleased to have achieved the Gold rating with EcoVadis again this year and to have been able to improve our overall score once more. This demonstrates that we not only set targets to improve our sustainability performance but work actively to achieve them.”

Arthur English, Chief Executive Officer at G2 Ocean.

G2 Ocean’s Sustainability Management System has been assessed by EcoVadis since 2018. The assessment is an important tool for G2 Ocean in reviewing, understanding, responding, and improving its sustainability performance.

The new score from EcoVadis follows improvements G2 Ocean has made related to ESG efforts, including defining climate ambitions, increasing its commitment to human rights, and implementing a Supplier Risk Management System.
